Wrapping up a groundbreaking year of his career, Berlin-born and Paris-based Bluestaeb shares a digital bundle accompanying the release of the music video for his track “THE ROSES” with London rapper Louis VI taken from his album “GISEKE”.

In summer 2021, multi-disciplinary artist Leon Giseke, known to the international hip-hop and beat scene as Bluestaeb, released the project of a lifetime with his self-titled album “GISEKE”. The album merges iconic R&B, funk and hip-hop productions with sharp lyrical contributions by some of 2021’s most promising vocalists such as Mick Jenkins, Ric Wilson, Uno Hype, Jerome Thomas and Phabo. At the same time the project uncompromisingly embraces architecture and design within its visual concepts. Before the end of the year Bluestaeb emphasized once again this aesthetic focus through the final video release accompanying the “GISEKE” project.

He invited London-based friend and collaborator Louis VI over to his chosen home of the past six years, Paris, to shoot an iconic and fun video for album standout track “THE ROSES”. The clip for the funk heavy rap track featuring Louis VI’s thoughtful word play was shot in the shadows of seminal mid century Parisian architecture around the city. The video was directed and shot by French duo Deux Mecs En Short, the imagery was arranged by the artists themselves, Leon Giseke and Louis J. Butler, and the concept was developed by Leon Giseke.
